Angela Carter was born and raised in Rome, Georgia, where she continues to reside today. A devoted wife, mother, and woman of faith, Angela shares her life with her husband, evangelist Shane Carter. The couple has been together since March 2016 and were married on September 1, 2022. Together, they have built a loving family with their four children: Jessica, Colby, Taran, and Taylor.

Angela has always had a deep love for music and creative expression. She began singing as a child in a small Baptist church in her hometown, where her passion for worship and song first took root. Encouraged by her grandmother, Mary Badgett, and her mother, Kathy Badgett Ledford—both strong women of the Baptist faith—Angela had the special privilege of singing alongside them during her early years, shaping both her voice and her spiritual foundation.

In addition to singing, Angela enjoys writing songs and poetry, often using her creativity as a way to express her faith and life experiences. She treasures time spent with family and friends and values the close-knit relationships that have supported her throughout her journey.

Professionally, Angela works full-time in the medical billing field with Rome GI, where she is known for her dedication and strong work ethic. While her roots are in the Baptist tradition, Angela considers herself non-denominational, believing that faith goes beyond labels and is best expressed through a personal and authentic relationship with God.
